Description

Routes

Volunteer Drivers transport Veterans on a set schedule to VA medical appointments. We currently service Springfield to Peoria, Springfield to Decatur, Springfield to Bloomington, and occasionally other one-off locations for VA disability exams.

Expenses

The VAC, along with our community partners in the DAV, provide the vehicle and fuel. There are no out-of-pocket expense for our drivers.

Time Commitment

We produce our schedule 6 months in advance and allow our drivers to pick the routes and date they prefer. There are no specific requirements as to how many trips you volunteer for only that the driver keep the commitments they make.
